Absorptive post temperable single Ag Low-E glass
"Absorptive post temperable Low-E glass" is a single Ag Low-E glass with high solar shielding performance similar to double Ag Low-E glass. While conventional Low-E glass is either for cold or warm (hot) climate areas, "absorptive post temperable Low-E glass" can be used in both climatic regions. "Absorptive post temperable Low-E glass" realizes post temperability and high shielding performance by using specially designed sputtering multilayer.

Water repellent glass is based on two technologies, fluorine polymer design and wet-coating methods. A special fluorine polymer coating repels water droplets and safeguards visibility for highway driving in the rain. Water repellent glass is widely used as automotive glass.
AR film by using wet coating method
Anti-reflection (AR) film has been used in various industrial fields, and there has been constant demand for lower reflectance AR film with neutral reflectance color and anti-smudge property. Conventionally, these functions are achieved only though a dry coating method such as the sputtering coating method. Leveraging new film design and materials, AGC successfully added such high performance to AR film by using the wet coating method which is known as a promising low-cost coating method.
EUVL mask blanks
EUVL mask blanks are ultra-low thermal expansion glass substrates with optical films that are used for extreme ultra-violet lithography (EUVL) suitable for the manufacturing of semiconductor devices with 22nm and smaller nodes. We have been developing EUVL mask blanks by utilizing AGC's core technologies including glass material technologies to precisely control the thermal expansion coefficient with the order of 10-9, glass polishing technologies to realize flat glass surfaces that are <100nm thin, dry coating technologies of highly reflective multi-layer films at 13.5nm wavelength which requires accurate thickness control with the order of 0.01nm.
Sputtering is carried out in vacuum conditions. It is not only able to provide highly uniform thin-film coatings of high quality, but these films can also be built up in multiple layers. From transparent conductive films on glass substrates, through energy-efficient architectural and automotive glass coatings, to antireflective treatments that reduce glare, sputtering is applied to the products for a wide range of industrial applications.
